Processing Policies

As a family owned business, we appreciate our many new and repeat customers. Our daily goal is to return your processed game in a timely manner. We have created a few policies that will help us continue providing you with quality service, professionally prepared meats, and affordable pricing. Please take a moment to review our policies.

During the fall hunting season Crippens Processing works almost 24/7. We are constantly cleaning, prepping, processing, and then cleaning again. We love our work and appreciate your very positive reviews and continued business year after year. We do ask for your help during this extremely busy time of year. Please take a moment to review our below policies. If you have any questions please ask while delivering your game harvest for processing.

Our Simple Policies:

  • Please do not call on the status of your game processing. Our process has always been “first in, first out”. We remain just as excited to deliver your freshly processed game as you are to receive your finished meat products.

We will call you once your order is complete. Our phone is very busy during hunting seasons. All Crippens staff work together in our very efficient and time saving process. Each time we must stop to answer calls regarding processing status our production stops. Remember that we do want to get paid and will immediately call you when your game processing has been completed.

  • Payment is due at time of pick up. We don’t require upfront payment or deposits so you can be sure that WE WILL CONTACT YOU VIA EMAIL OR CHECK CRIPPENSPROCESSING.COM for completed status your game processing.

  • Please pick up your processed meat within 5 days of notification or authorize someone who can. Notice is via Email, phone, voicemail, text or FaceBook Messenger. If your voicemail box is full, or not set up, you will still be responsible for storage fees after 5 days. We will try another way to reach you via text, email, FaceBook, but please provide valid & current contact information.

  • A $10 per day storage fee will be applied after 5 days. We hate storage fees. Our massive cooler and freezer space becomes extremely limited during the fall hunting seasons. We carefully process hundreds of animals each year. However, once our commercial freezer is full we must stop accepting additional game for processing until freezer space becomes available. Please help us avoid charging storage fees by picking up your completed processing quickly.

  • If you do not pick up your processed meat within 30 days, we have the right to sell your meat.

  • We are happy to give you an estimate on completion time and cost. Please remember that our initial “estimate” may change slightly upon final pickup. We will contact you should any unforeseen circumstances delay our processing.

  • Typical game processing meat yield is 50%, however many variables can affect this. How clean was it? How many times was it shot? Shot placement? How long before it was gutted?

  • We package your animal in 12 month rated wax paper, however, we can cryovac (vacuum seal) for an additional cost of .50/lb with notice at time of cutting instructions.

  • We do not mix meat or use community meat. What you bring in is what you get back. If it’s clean meat, you’ll get just that back.  If not, same applies.

  • We cannot recommend individual Taxidermists, but we do work with several who will pick up and drop off at our shop for your convenience.  We will be happy to provide you with their information.

  • We accept all forms of payment. Cash, Check & Credit Card. No out of state checks may be accepted. If you’re check is returned, there will be a $25 fee.

  • To remain fair to all of our valued customers, pricing is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

We truly value your business and have developed these few policies to help us deliver your game processed professionally and affordably.
